The Watsonville Law Center (WLC) is a nonprofit legal aid organization providing free legal services to low- income households in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties. WLC works closely with community and health care partners to address legal and social determinants of health including access to housing, health, employment, immigration justice, and economic equity.

Volunteer & Internship Opportunities

Volunteers and interns are essential members of the WLC team. We rely on volunteer attorneys, interviewers, and translators to support our legal clinics, as well as dedicated volunteers and interns who assist with administrative tasks, fund development, and community outreach. Pro-Bono Support

At the Watsonville Law Center, pro bono attorneys play a vital role in expanding access to justice. By sharing your time and expertise, you help ensure that low-income individuals and families in California’s Central Coast receive the legal support they deserve.

We welcome attorneys from a variety of practice areas to volunteer with us. Opportunities include:

  • Providing advice and representation at legal clinics
  • Supporting individual cases in areas such as workers’ rights, immigration, civil rights, and economic justice
  • Offering trainings and mentorship to law students, interns, and new attorneys

As a pro bono attorney, you’ll not only make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients, but also gain valuable experience, broaden your professional network, and contribute to building a stronger, more equitable community.

Oportunidades:

  • Capacitaciones y mentoría a estudiantes de derecho, pasantes y abogadas/os nuevas/os
